Born and raised on Amami Oshima. I grew up in the mountains surrounded by nature and moved to Tokyo after high school. After time in the Self-Defense Forces and an apprenticeship in apparel in Harajuku, I launched the brand devadurga in 2010. I design outdoor-themed clothing, which has been featured in many media outlets. Since returning home in 2014, I've been sharing the appeal of Amami Oshima across Japan and overseas through fashion.
