I'm the 28th generation of Ike Shoten, one of the Gonin Byakusho (five families) who came to Kotohira as attendants when Konpira-san arrived here. Day to day I help with Shinto rituals and run a shop selling a lucky candy you crack open and eat (it's been going for almost 800 years!). Ask me anything about Kotohira's history and our candy shop!
