Ako Dantsu is a hand-woven carpet devised in the Edo period in Ako, Hyogo, and handed down ever since. At 15, I became an apprentice of Kirie Sakaguchi, who was called the last weaver. This year marks 35 years since I became a weaver. I want to share the gentleness and warmth of hand-woven dantsu with many people. I look forward to meeting you.
