I'm Ono, the fourth generation of a long-established dye house founded in 1912 (Taisho 1)! At our shop we plan, design and sell dyed goods, and we also go beyond the usual dye house to do product design and branding. What I love about Kotohira is meeting all kinds of people and working closely with people rooted in the community. I find it attractive to live here sharing many different values!

Learn about Sanuki norizome and Japanese dyeing culture from a dyer, and dye an original tote bag. Touch traditional craft through a tour of the neighboring indigo-dyeing workshop too.
