What is a bus sauna?
A new type of bus sauna, "looks like a bus, but is a sauna inside," has opened on the grounds of TESHIKAGA HOSTEL MISATO, a guesthouse in Teshikaga, Hokkaido!
This project was born from the desire of the residents of Teshikaga Town to "create a new landmark in Teshikaga," and TRAPOL is the main entity responsible for its production. It will begin operations on April 9, 2023.
Mashu-ko is a lake located in Teshikaga Town, famous as the second-clearest lake in the world. On a clear day, its surface is an intensely deep blue that seems to draw you in, and it's called "Mashu Blue."
The bus for "Mashu Bus Sauna" is adorned with the beautiful Mashu Blue. Upon opening the door, an authentic sauna awaits, enveloped in the aroma of medicinal herbs and cypress.
Even if you're alone, you can enjoy the sauna while interacting with the people you meet. Private rentals for groups are also available.
Authentic sauna exceeding 100°C! Curved benches modeled after Lake Mashu, perfect for lounging!
The benches inside the sauna room are curved, inspired by the shape of Lake Mashu. Sitting near the sauna stones (stones placed on the stove) allows you to enjoy a high-temperature sauna exceeding 100°C. Lying down on the sauna bench lets you experience a "sleeping sauna," where you can feel a gentle warmth spreading from your core.
Furthermore, enjoy unlimitedロウリュ using fragrant herbal water brewed from organically grown herbs at the local farm "Fattoria Ricco" in Dikkutsu.
You can find your own unique way to enjoy it, in your favorite posture and at your favorite temperature.

A 1200-liter dairy milk tank is used for the cold bath.
