This is the first part.
We spoke with our representative about "the catalyst for their uninhabited island debut" and "the significance of TRAPOL offering the appeal of uninhabited islands," so please enjoy reading to the end!
TRAPOL Representative "Kengo Moriwaki" is a Conqueror of a Deserted Island
My love for Moritsuki led me to my debut on a deserted island.
The representative has had numerous uninhabited island survival experiences. His initial interest was sparked by his hobby, spearfishing.
It all started when I bought a spear with my allowance in junior high school and speared fish when I went swimming at the beach. Later, I used my innate communication skills to become friends with fishermen, and one of them told me, "I'll take you to an uninhabited island, you can do it there," and brought me to the island.
I thought it wouldn't be interesting to just spear fish and go home, so I decided to try living for about three days solely on fish I caught myself. Then, I thought, why not involve my friends? That's how the deserted island life began.
It is said that at that time, they wanted to bring good things to the world.

An Encounter with "Gensan" That Changes Your Life
"Another reason I became so deeply involved was meeting a homeless man named 'Gensan' when I was a university student," the representative says, speaking with great enthusiasm.
He was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, someone who made everything himself. He referred to trash as "city fortune" and lived comfortably on the riverbank; he was clearly an unusual person.
The encounter with Gensan made me realize that convenience alone isn't happiness.
I always say that living honestly according to our natural human desires is the most important thing, and that spirit is something I learned from Gen-san. It seems he felt that a deserted island would be a great first step in conveying such a unique way of life.
Around a month later, the day after the typhoon, the river flooded and we couldn't see each other. But that experience strongly shaped me, and she remains a presence that's stuck with me like a stake. It was a dreamlike time; I sometimes wonder if it really happened, or if she was an alien (lol).
Why a travel agency on a deserted island?
"In-house ventures of electric power companies" and "desert island survival." These two seemingly unrelated concepts have a surprising connection.
Energy isn't just electricity and gas; the energy that comes from "people" will shape the next era.
TRAPOL is a corporate venture born from Kansai Electric Power. The representative speaks about the "energy" that TRAPOL delivers as follows:
I don't believe that only weather and gas are energy. I believe that the energy people emit when they're excited, enthusiastic, or passionate about something, though invisible, possesses an intense power.
First, I meet people who are living passionately pursuing their favorite things through travel. They say that they want to create a cycle where they feel the positive energy from such people and are empowered themselves, and this is what they aim to achieve through their business.
An "uninhabited island": a place where humans can feel joy instinctively.
Additionally, an uninhabited island is a place where good energy flows when you create something from scratch with your own hands, or when you devise clever solutions to generate a comfortable environment.
The representative describes the value created there as "inconvenience benefits" and "the value of going out of one's way," stating they want to bring renewed focus to things that have been forgotten in our current era.
If you can't take a bath because you don't have any oil drums, tinder, firewood, or water, do you think it's impossible? No, wait a minute. If you dig a hole, line it with a blue sheet, fill it with seawater, and throw in heated stones, it'll be a comfortable outdoor bath, won't it!
It's amazing how you can enrich your life with creative ideas, even from nothing.
That's how, when you talk with people and get excited, and achieve what you want to do within limited circumstances, the joy people instinctively feel is revived.
That's why TRAPOL wants to deliver energy from uninhabited islands.

Things I want to do on a deserted island
I want to create a new cultural sphere where humans can exist.
Next, we asked them about their ambitions they'd like to fulfill on a deserted island.
Then, the novel answer that came back was, "I want to create a cultural sphere disconnected from current civilization, one without the concept of ownership."
"Regardless of their background, I love uninhabited islands where you can live in this very moment," said the representative, his eyes brimming with youthful energy.
Finally
How was it?
In a society where everything has become convenient, deliberately enjoying inconvenience is a unique experience only possible on a deserted island. Please look forward to the continuation in the middle and final parts!
TRAPOL offers plans where you can experience survival on a deserted island with our representative.
